Event: The 12h swim organized by the North Vaud section of the Swiss Lifesaving Society (hereinafter: "SSS Nord vaudois")
These general terms and conditions govern the terms of registration, participation and processing of personal data in the context of the "12-hour swimming" event organized by the North Vaud section of the Swiss Lifesaving Society (SSS Nord vaudois).
Registration for the event is done via the official form provided by SSS Nord vaudois (website, online form or on-site registration).
Any registration implies full and complete acceptance of these general terms and conditions and the Privacy Policy.
Participants registering on-site are informed, through posted notices and a link or QR code made available at the registration point, of these general terms and conditions and of the privacy policy. Registration constitutes acceptance of these general terms and conditions.
By registering (on-site or online), the participant agrees to receive possible email communications related to the activities of the SSS Nord vaudois Section. Communications related to the 12h swim always remain active; other Section communications can be disabled at any time, from the profile or during registration.
Participation is open to everyone, in compliance with the conditions specified for the event (age, parental authorization, etc.).
Participants agree to respect safety instructions, applicable regulations and directives from organizers, volunteers and managers of SSS Nord vaudois.
SSS Nord vaudois reserves the right to exclude any person whose behavior would endanger their safety, that of others, or would harm the smooth running of the event.
Minor participants must have parental authorization or be accompanied by a legal representative or club supervisor (coach, committee member) from 22:00 onwards.
The regulations of the establishment hosting the event also apply.
Each participant confirms they are fit for pool swimming, in good health and able to swim independently. If in doubt, a prior medical consultation is recommended.
The event's sporting rules apply: numbered cap required (provided), only 50 m crossings validated by supervisors are counted.
Participation is entirely free; no registration fee is charged. Donations remain free and optional.
Participation is at the sole responsibility of each participant.
SSS Nord vaudois disclaims all liability in case of accident, injury, loss or theft of personal belongings.
Each participant must have adequate insurance coverage (accident, civil liability, etc.).
Data collected during registration (name, first name, contact, club, etc.) are processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
This data is retained for a period of 2 years from your last activity on the platform (login, password reset or participation in an event), unless a legal obligation requires a different retention period.
This period is justified by the following organizational and administrative needs:
Any new activity on the platform restarts the 2-year retention period. At the end of this period, or if the account is deleted, personal data is anonymized in accordance with the privacy policy.
Participants may at any time request consultation, correction or deletion of their data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
First name, last name, age, distance covered, ranking by category and membership in a club, team or SSS section may be displayed on the platform and in event reports for sporting and communication purposes.
By participating in the 12h swim, each person authorizes SSS Nord vaudois to use, without financial compensation, photos and videos taken during the event for communication, promotion or documentation purposes. Anyone who does not wish to appear on these materials may object in writing to 12hnatation@sss-nordvaudois.ch, with the subject: "Opposition photos".
SSS Nord vaudois makes every effort to ensure the proper functioning of its registration and data management system. However, SSS Nord vaudois and its members cannot be held responsible in case of technical malfunction, before, during or after the event, which could result in partial or complete loss of data (registrations, results, history, etc.), nor for the direct or indirect consequences that could result therefrom.
SSS Nord vaudois reserves the right to modify the program, adjust participation conditions or cancel the event in case of force majeure, unfavorable weather conditions or any other situation deemed necessary by the organization.
These terms may be modified at any time without notice.
The most recent version is published on the official 12-hour swimming website.
Participants are invited to consult it regularly.
These terms are subject to Swiss law.
The jurisdiction is established in Yverdon-les-Bains (VD), subject to mandatory legal provisions to the contrary.
In case of discrepancy between the different language versions, the French version shall prevail.
